I had the privilege to work for world class organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Whirlpool, Pepsico and Yahoo. Through my various sales & marketing positions, I've seen a revolution happen which accelerated at a dramatic pace over the last 5 years. It can be summarized like this:
Thanks to the digital age, marketing the way we've always done it doesn't work anymore. Today, whether we sell vitamins, food or beauty products, we deal with empowered buyers. Buyers can research, select and purchase their products without getting you involved. Everything has shifted. Today's perceptions drive people's decisions to buy (your products or services but most importantly: YOU) and you've got less than five seconds to get their attention. Their perceptions are created through web searches (mainly 'friends' feed) and ultimately, word-of-mouth. Bottom line, consumers are increasingly "teflon" to traditional advertising, in favor of referral from friends, and craving for real authentic products & services. Today Word-of-Mouth is the primary factor behind up to 50% of all purchase decisions.

In fact, 30% of consumer’s daily total media time is spent everyday engaged with content created by their peers. That is as much as all traditional media (TV, Print, radio) combined! Studies show that it is 20% more influential on their purchase decision than any other media. And contrary to the common belief, we're not as much influenced by the latest Instagram celebrity posts than we are by our friends or people we follow. So it's no surprise that the field of Influencer Marketing is the big talk amongst marketers and being adopted by over 75% of them. This is not coming without its share of challenges, from how to find the right influencers to managing numerous relationships, up to the need for real ROI metrics. That's why we're here!

This revolution led me to start my own word-of-mouth consultancy company, working with tier one brands (directly or with their agency) as well as with professionals, coaches, entrepreneurs and start-ups, to ignite their "talkability", with the support of valued partner companies and the best talents out there.
